Rosanna Feeken is a professional art teacher and lifelong creative with a passion for writing, drawing, and painting. Her work reflects a deep connection between humans, animals, and the landscapes they share—a relationship that forms the emotional core of her storytelling.
Her debut novel, Racing the Wild: A Journey of Freedom and Friendship—a finalist in the Able Golden Book Awards—was described by Voraka Magazine as “a stunning debut into the literary world” and named by De Mode Magazine as one of “the 7 best books of 2025.” The story follows Chris, a young protagonist navigating trauma and self-discovery through friendship, the Australian bush, and his bond with horses and other animals. Feeken’s inclusion of original sketches at the start of each chapter invites readers into Chris’s world, as though leafing through his sketchbook.
Her sequel, Racing the Wild: Of Judgement and Deception, deepens these themes, exploring honesty, redemption, and the moral grey areas of family and human relationships. Through her layered storytelling, Feeken combines imagination, empathy, and a reverence for nature, offering readers stories that linger long after the final page.
